With a knack for solemn storytelling that could command the attention of John Prine peppered with the grit of acts like Drive By Truckers and Lucero\, Ladybird quickly established itself as an alternative Country favorite in the Midwest music scene. \n\n \nLadybird formed in the fall of 2021 and has since released two EPs\, toured the country\, and shared the stage with acts like Sarah Shook & the Disarmers\, Jess Williamson\, Dale Hollow and Teddy and the Rough Riders. Songs like “Console” show the band’s soft side\, as frontman Pete McDermott laments on a former relationship and the passing of time\, while tracks like “Honky Tonk Mama” have become barn-burning anthems that inspire fans to dance and sing along. \n \nThe band’s first full length record\, “Amy Come on Home” will be self-released on May 17th.
